On Her Own Wings

I made this painting for a dear friend after her husband passed away. Around the bursts of colour I wrote words that kept coming to me (love, let go, passion, beautiful) and a quote that has carried me through hard seasons:

"A bird sitting on a tree is never afraid of the branch breaking, because her trust is not on the branch, but on her own wings."

It's about grief and strength living side by side, and trusting yourself when the ground feels uncertain.
